Finding The Right Pelvic Health Physical Therapist Is Important. We Answer Some Of The Most Frequently Asked Questions Below.

What Should I Expect on My First Visit?

Dr. Amber will review your health history and you will have the opportunity to share issues that brought you to physical therapy. We will discuss the orthopedic and pelvic floor examinations and you can ask questions. We will look at the entire body, including strength, flexibility, posture and motion. If an internal pelvic floor muscle assessment is appropriate for you, we will discuss it . We believe in a collaborative treatment model where you participate in your care.

Do I Need a Prescription?

Illinois is a Direct Access state where you can see a physical therapist without a prescription. As part of Illinois Direct Access rules, we will notify your primary care provider that you are being seen as a patient. You should ask your insurance company if THEY require a prescription for reimbursement.
